Savory Spices

I just placed an order with Savory Spice. I have been using a lot of spices for summer canning and I enjoy having the freshest and least expensive spices I can purchase. It is great to pick up the spices we need in the grocery store, but they can be expensive in the small containers they are packed in and are often not the freshest. Savory Spices come in 1/2 cup and 1 1/2 cup jars as shown.

The bags come in 1/2 cup, 1 cup, and 2 cups sizes and are less expensive than the jars. Buy only what you can use in one year to maintain freshness. Just as a test, buy the Ground Ceylon “True” Cinnamon and compare it to what you have in your pantry by smell and taste. I did this and found no comparison! What we use in the US is from the bark of the cassia tree and not true cinnamon. From then on I started buying “real” cinnamon and found a great difference in Cinnamon Rolls to oatmeal. Try it and let me know what you think. Enjoy!

Savory Spices came in today. It’s time to make more Easy Pickled Cucumber Rounds
